Improve your Workouts: Best 3 Websites to Buy Gym Clothes

Updated: May 12, 2023

I find that one of the best ways to get yourself motivated to workout is to have cute and comfortable outfits to choose from. It may not seem that important, but one of the hardest parts about getting yourself to the gym is getting dressed for it. Once you're changed, it makes you 10x more motivated to go.

That's why I'm going to list bellow 3 websites that have (in my opinion) the best quality and style for a reasonable price. All of these will have male and female options, though I'm going to be giving female specific examples.

Lululemon

You can look all over the internet for professionals and sponsors explaining why Lululemon has such good gym clothes; but I'm gonna give you my honest opinion.

I've been buying Lululemon's gym clothes since 2015. I still have my first pair of leggings that I wear to this very day and is in impeccable shape for being 8 years old and worn through multiple dance competitions. That should already convince you enough as is.

Their clothes are durable, breathable, soft, and reasonably priced considering the quality is amazing.

I have super sensitive skin, especially on my legs. Therefore, I'm going to list my all-time favourite legging collection that I personally (and only) wear while working out.

Align: This will forever and always be my favourite line to buy leggings from Lululemon and from honestly anywhere else. The material feels buttery soft against your skin and I haven't found any other leggings from anywhere else that have even come close to replicating the material of this. I've bought dupes from Amazon and tried other famous gym clothing websites (with even more expensive prices), but again, nothing comes close to this (in my opinion).

They have options for high/medium/low waisted, full-length/cropped, flared, a ton of different sizes, and a ton of colour and print options.

The price will most likely be more than $100 after tax (at least in Canada it is), but it seriously is worth the money. I'm always the first person to find cheaper options because I'm all for "save money live better", but sometimes you really just get what you pay for. I can't stress how worth it it is for the material quality of these.

Gymshark

If you don't hear people recommending Lululemon, then you hear them recommending Gymshark. This is one of the newer and increasingly popular workout clothing websites. It started gaining popularity around 2019-2020 because everyone was posting about it on TikTok.

I have 2 pairs of leggings, 1 sports bra, and 1 long-sleeved cropped shirt (like the one in the picture). The 2 leggings are from their Vital and Seamless lines as I was promised they would be close to the same material as the Lululemon Align; but they weren't lol. Maybe I got unlucky twice, but I tried 2 different sizes and both were way too extremely tight and they itched my legs so bad.

Instead of recommending my favourite collection of leggings like I did for Lulu, I'm instead going to for the tops. The sports bra and shirt fit so well and hold everything in nicely without feeling like I'm suffocating. I can't say the same thing for the leggings lmfao.

❣Vital Seamless 2.0: The tops in this collection are amazing. The long sleeve cropped shirt is always my go-to whenever it's cold outside. It's equally as warm as breathable while I'm at the gym. Though, I wouldn't recommend wearing it for inside cardio as it's a little too warm for that.

There's lots of different products under this line, but the one I've been talking about specifically has size options of XS-XXL and 19 different colour choices.

The price for this particular product is $50 before tax.

❣Essentials: The Ruched Sports Bra from this collection is my all-time favourite one. It hugs the tittas so well and makes them look perky, but is also breathable at the same time. It also has adjustable straps, which is a MUST-HAVE for me.

There are also a ton of products in this essentials line, but for this particular sports bra, there are 14 different colour options and the sizes range from XS-XXL.

The price for this particular product is $40 before tax.

Aritzia TNA

This one may come as a surprise because it sure did for me. I'm sure most people were expecting this one to be something like Nike or Adidas. Yeah, those are amazing brands, but everyone already knows about those.

Now, I will say I only have 1 product from them. However, the one I do have I'm absolutely obsessed with. I've also tried on my friends clothes from this collection and that's when I fell in-love.

I will be recommending one collection from Aritzia TNA, but only because it's the only collection from them I've tried. I'm sure their other ones are amazing as-well.

❣TNA Butter: Now, I know what you're thinking and yes, this collection is literally named butter. I can confidently say that this is the ONLY brand and line that compares to the buttery soft feeling that Lululemon's Align collection feels like. I have the cropped zip-up long-sleeve and it feels exactly like the leggings from Lulu (except that they're on my upper-half instead of my lower-half). I've also tried their tank tops and sports bras and they're equally as soft (though not as supportive as Gymshark in my opinion).

I haven't tried the pants from this collection or any collection from them, but if it's anything as soft as the zip-up, then I'm buying all of them. If that whole line feels how the zip-up feels, then I will recommend it over Lulu any day anytime because it feels pretty much this exact same and is WAY cheaper.

The zip-up that I have from this line is $68 before tax.
